First, try to run Zork from an Emulator. If it works in the emulator, then there must be something wrong with your computer.
I transfer my Infocom games to the PC and successfully run the game in emulation. I could not get the original disk working on a real TI. I got an error message when booting up the Infocom game. It has been a long time ago, "bad opcode" sounds familiar.
