Three things should be worked on before the next release, aside from the bug fixes on this one. :) But don't worry, many people have their eye on Ami99 - I hear Dave of http://www.vintagegaming.com is a large fan of the TI-99. *G*
1.) Joystick support - using PC joysticks with Ami99, not just keyboard emulation (and as I hear that's a bit of a hack too, eh?)
2.) Speech - oh speech how I miss thee, lemme count the ways... Heh. Well, I can always make a MESS of things... for now. ;)
3.) SPEED SPEED SPEED - there's no reason it should be frameskipping like crazy on my PII-266 w/64 MB RAM. I mean, really. Get that ASM core and GPL interpreter going (oh yay, more bugs to fix)
BTW, I too also see a drastic step down in starting time with the debug version - tho, call me crazy but I think it runs a little faster once it gets going.
