18 year old tape here ... who's got an older tape ??? EVERY PROGRAM CONVERTED PROPERLY !
My procedure was the following :
1) Download Dick's last version Tape994a at his site http://run.to/gods
2) Sample my tape using Creative's WaveStudio and (if possible) the original cassette recorder you used when you recorded your tapes 18 years ago.
You have to try out different recording levels, taking care not to truncate the waveform by setting the volume too high.
3) Launching Tape994a and trying different settings for the noise level (in my case, a setting of 10 to 20 did the trick)
