I'd thought that I'd heard before that it's not possible to read TI disks directly into a PC. I'm not sure if that's true or why, but I seem to recall hearing it.
I know it's not the fix that you're looking for, but if you really need to read those files, you could buy a copy of PC99 and then either convert the old disks to new disk images or send them to CaDD to have them converted- I think it's only $.25 a disk or something. Their site is at http://pw2.netcom.com/~mjmw/index.html
All in all, pretty klunky, but at least you could read the files again.
: Does anyone know of a program/emulator that will actually read files that were originaly saved to 5.25 inch floppy using the TI99 and TI software?? I know there used to be something out there that would read TI formated disks using an IBM about 10 years ago. I have several word processor files on floppies I have saved and now need to open. Unfortunatly, I got rid of the TI in 97 and the old TIUG in the area has long since disbanded.
: Any help would be greatly appreciated. ZMann..
